Stephan Alexander Schmidt, Germany
Traumulsion, Berlin 2, 2002
"I finished my studies at the Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany. I produced lot of experimental videos with different identities like for example karata.de or matthewclaire.de. After Traumulsion I produced Orgasm in the Movies, a quite complex and low budget film. It was shown at the '40. Werkstatt für junge Filmer' and “Plattform-nobudget”, Tübingen. Besides I tried to escape the space of electric images, creating sculptures and images representing some idea of a mental space 'Vorstellungsbilder-images imaginaires', video installation with objects and sound.”

Elton John is a Cunt, Video installation, London+Berlin 04
Elton John is a Cunt was included in Bloomberg New Contemporaries 04, exhibiting at the Liverpool Biennial and at the Barbican, London. In 2004 I made a suburban gothic mini series titled Ritual Abuse in Liphook. The series focused on a humorous, yet (naturally!) darker take on contemporary suburban family life. Recent exhibitions include Goth Moth at the Transition Gallery, London and the Darklight Film Festival, Dublin. Welcome to Godalming was exhibited at The Mind is a Horse Part 2.
